Industrial elegance for the modern home. The Tile Rite IRO898 is a premium L-shape metal trim from the "Contemporary Range," designed to bring a bold, industrial aesthetic to your tiling projects. The unique Cast Iron powder-coated finish provides a textured, matte look that perfectly complements the rising trend for dark, metallic, and concrete-style interiors.
Crafted from high-grade aluminium, this 10mm trim is as functional as it is stylish. It provides a robust, straight-edge protective barrier for external wall corners, window reveals, and splashbacks, shielding unglazed tile edges from impact and wear. Whether you are framing a shower niche or finishing a part-tiled wall, the Cast Iron finish adds a sophisticated, architectural touch.
Key Features:
-

Norbreck Expert/Design Tip
"The Industrial Contrast" — Cast iron finishes work best when paired with contrasting textures. If you are using light grey concrete-effect tiles, this trim provides a striking "frame" that grounds the design. Expert Tip: Because this is a powder-coated finish rather than anodised, it is particularly important to use a fine-toothed blade when cutting to prevent chipping the coating at the edge. Always tape the face of the trim before cutting for an ultra-clean join.
Warmth, character, and contemporary style. The Tile Rite L-Shape Brushed Copper trim is a standout choice from the Contemporary Range, designed to bring a touch of luxury and warmth to your tiling projects. Unlike standard silver or chrome, the antique brushed copper finish provides a sophisticated, "on-trend" look that pairs beautifully with earthy tones, deep blues, or classic white marble tiles.
Available in both 10mm and 12mm depths, this trim is manufactured from performance-grade aluminium that is E-Coated to ensure a long-lasting, lustrous finish. It provides a crisp, straight-edge profile that protects tile edges from impact while hiding the raw, unglazed edge of the tile for a high-end, professional result.
Key Features:
-
Antique Brushed Finish: A unique, warm copper tone with a brushed texture that masks water spots and adds a designer feel.
-
E-Coated Protection: Specially treated to resist corrosion and maintain its rich colour in wet environments.
-
Versatile Profile: Perfect for surrounding window frames, finishing splashbacks, or creating external wall corners.
-
Precision Engineering: Made from Grade 6463-T6 aluminium, ensuring it is easy to mitre for perfect 45-degree corners.
-
Available in Two Depths: 10mm (for standard tiles) and 12mm (for thicker porcelain or heavy-bed applications).
Technical Specifications:
-
Material: E-Coated Aluminium (Grade 6463-T6)
-
Profile: L-Shape (Straight Edge)
-
Length: 2.44m
-
Finish: Antique Brushed Copper
-
Depth Options: 10mm (CLT896) or 12mm (CLT897)
-
Compatibility: 10mm depth fits up to 9mm tiles; 12mm depth fits up to 11mm tiles.
Norbreck Expert/Design Tip
"The Warmth Factor" — Copper is the perfect "bridge" colour. If you have a bathroom with both grey tiles and wooden furniture, the Brushed Copper trim acts as a warm accent that ties those two textures together. Expert Tip: Copper can be bold, so use it to frame features like a recessed niche or a splashback. When installing, ensure you wipe away any excess grout from the trim surface immediately with a soft cloth; copper finishes are durable, but dried grout can be abrasive to remove later.

Norbreck Expert/Design Tip
"Kill the Lippage" — If you are laying large-format tiles (anything over 600mm), a Tile Leveling System is not an "optional extra"—it is essential. Even the flattest floors can have slight deviations, and large tiles are prone to "lippage" (where one edge sits slightly higher than the next).
Expert Tip: Using a wedge-and-clip leveling system ensures a perfectly flat surface and consistent grout lines across the entire floor. It’s the easiest way to make a standard installation look like a high-end designer showroom finish.
